For the record, my system is not infected and never has been.
I tried to raise this issue when It happened before on the MSI support forum, and I was called a liar and told my system was so badly infected I needed to do format and clean install. THIS IS A FALSE DETECTION!!! this happened once before with a previous version of the software, and I had to wait for a new version to come out before I could install it because of the issue. THERE IS NO VIRUS THERE IS NOTHING HARMFUL WITH THESE FILES. zip file returns multiple threats, and when a file extraction is attempted, the files get removed. ZIP file and are downloaded from the manufacturer website from the following URL. the files that are falsely being marked as being a virus are: "setup_G.exe", "setup_P.exe", and "setup_W.exe" the files for the setup program are contained in a. I try and extract the files, and the setup file files are deleted/quarantined as soon as they are accessed. Same thing with those folders I mentioned “Patriot” and “PD” that have to do with RGB also - not sure if they’re dragon center or not.I am trying to update my laptops MSI Dragon Center 2 software, but it is being blocked by both windows defender, ESET ESSP, and windows smart screen.
I’m just not sure if that’s something to do with my default RGB software, or if it’s something to do with dragon center, so I don’t want to delete it if it’s the former. There’s also one folder in program files called “ENE”, and inside a folder called “Aac_ENE RGB HAL”, and in that a couple of dll files. I’m just not sure where to look - in my program files there are a couple of folders, one called “Patriot” and one called “PD”, when I hover over them they have RGB related folders in them, but I’m not sure if those are just my standard RGB things. I uninstalled normally but I think there are leftover files hidden somewhere because my lights have been flickering and I get random times when my PC seemingly shuts down for a few seconds then comes back. Need help completely uninstalling dragon center
